Bought for my neck and it is surprisingly nearly as good as the tissue message I get from my physical therapist. That's where the 4 comes from. You do have to experiment with position, orientation and settings to get the mix of comfort and results right for you. .
But....
The unit is very strong. It can be very painful. Much is dependent on the weight you put on it. Full body weight laying on it postioned mid back I found intolerable. Not so with thigh and calf as an example and manageable upper back between the shoulder blades if reclined rather than lying down on it. Still experimenting.
The one I received was not new. The box was not sealed and the power cord was not packaged. It would be better if the control buttons were more excessible like on the power cord so easier to change settings while lying on it without contorting or losing the right position being used at the time. -
